A new SoundCloud ElevenLabs partnership announced on 5 November 2026 allows creators to publish AI-generated music from the ElevenMusic platform directly to SoundCloud. The arrangement removes the need to download and re-upload files manually, while offering qualifying SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers free three-month access to premium music creation tools.

Key points

  • Creators using ElevenMusic can now distribute AI-generated tracks straight to SoundCloud without manual file downloads.
  • SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers receive three months of ElevenMusic Pro, providing up to 1,000 track generations each month.
  • All tracks uploaded through the system carry automated tags identifying ElevenMusic as the creation source.
  • SoundCloud requires uploaders to secure copyright permissions and prohibits using artificial intelligence to impersonate others.

How does direct publishing from ElevenMusic to SoundCloud work?

The connection links ElevenLabs’ audio generation system directly to SoundCloud’s hosting and streaming catalogue. Previously, artists generating songs with ElevenMusic had to render audio locally, download individual files, and manually upload them through SoundCloud’s standard interface. Under the new setup, users can send finished tracks across services in a single step.

The system connects with ElevenMusic’s creation workflow, which lets users generate complete songs from text prompts, short melodies, lyrics, or moods. The tool also permits producers to alter the tempo, shift musical genres mid-track, and remix existing audio. ElevenLabs said creators have generated more than 25 million songs since the company introduced its initial music model in 2025 and launched a consumer application in April 2026.

Subscription perks and plan limits

As part of the roll-out, SoundCloud is bundling three months of ElevenMusic Pro into its Member Benefits scheme for Artist Pro members. The Pro tier provides 1,000 song generations, 500 stem splits, and five custom voices or styles every month, alongside unlimited file downloads. Outside the promotion, the subscription costs $9.99 a month, or $7.99 monthly when paid annually.

By contrast, ElevenMusic’s standard free tier restricts output to 25 songs, five downloads, and five stem splits per day. Free users are limited to a single custom voice or musical style and must append a ‘Made with ElevenMusic’ credit to any commercial releases. The paid tier expands monthly generation caps and provides unlimited downloads for creators testing automated production.

Tracks sent across the integration carry mandatory metadata labels identifying ElevenMusic as the generation tool. SoundCloud maintains that all content must still comply with existing platform rules on intellectual property and ownership. Creators remain liable for securing permissions from copyright holders when incorporating external audio, samples, or vocals. Uploads lacking necessary clearances face removal, and repeat violations can trigger account termination.

SoundCloud also maintains explicit bans on identity fraud, barring creators from using artificial intelligence to impersonate another person. For European users, the service published guidance for creators under the EU AI Act, asking creators to label generated tracks in audio descriptions and verify that output does not mislead listeners regarding authenticity. Separately, the company’s AI partnerships page stipulates that user content cannot be used to train external generative models without explicit permission.

How SoundCloud compares to rival platforms

The ElevenLabs arrangement follows an earlier partnership with Moises established on 21 October 2026. While the ElevenLabs setup concentrates on distributing newly synthesised music outward, the Moises collaboration offers a two-way production loop. Artists can pull active tracks from their SoundCloud libraries into Moises to isolate stems, analyse chord structures, and apply automated mixing before republishing the revised audio back to their profiles.

The streaming service has also formed integrations with remix tool Hook and Google Flow Music. Eliah Seton, SoundCloud’s chief executive, said the company is opening “new possibilities for artists to experiment, share their work, and build an audience.”

SoundCloud’s approach contrasts with the policies adopted by rival platforms. Bandcamp introduced a blanket prohibition on AI-generated tracks, while French streaming platform Deezer developed a dedicated setting allowing listeners to filter out synthetic music entirely. Spotify and YouTube have taken a more cautious stance on labelling tracks, with Spotify also securing label partnerships for AI remix tools while avoiding direct model integrations.

Both SoundCloud and ElevenLabs said they are testing additional features to bridge automated creation tools with artist communities as the multi-month trial runs.
